# Manage collections and tokens

When you're connected with a wallet that owns a collection or holds a role in it, collection and token pages show a **creator menu**. It only lists actions your wallet is allowed to take.

## Collection settings

From a collection page:

| Action | Who can do it | What it does |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Create Token | Creator | Opens [`/create`](/create/tokens) with this collection selected. |
| Edit Collection Metadata | Owner | Edit the name, description, image, banner, external link and **URL Slug**. The metadata and the slug are saved together in one transaction. Clearing the slug removes it. |
| Edit Default Royalty | Owner | Change the royalty recipient and percentage used for every token that doesn't have its own. |
| Manage Roles | Owner | Grant or revoke roles. See [Roles](#roles). |

## Token settings

From a token page:

| Action | Who can do it | What it does |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Edit Metadata | Editor | Edit the name, description, image, external link, license, tags and attributes. Only available until the metadata is cemented. |
| Cement Metadata | Editor | Lock this token's metadata permanently. See [Cementing](#cementing). |
| Edit Royalty | Owner | Set a royalty for this token only, overriding the collection default. |
| Mint More | Minter | ERC-1155 only. Mint more editions to yourself, up to the max supply. |
| Burn | Holder | ERC-1155 only. Burn editions you own. |

## Roles

Every collection has an owner and three roles. When a collection is deployed, the owner's wallet gets all three.

| Role | Allows |
| --- | --- |
| **Creator** | Create new tokens in the collection. |
| **Minter** | Mint more editions of existing tokens. Drop contracts need this to run a [public mint](/create/selling#public-mint-erc-1155). |
| **Editor** | Edit token metadata and cement it. |

Only the owner can change collection metadata and royalties, manage roles, and upgrade the contract.

In **Manage Roles**, add an address, tick the roles it should have, and save. All the changes go out in one transaction. Anyone can renounce their own role at any time with `renounceRole`.

Opening a public mint grants **Minter** to the Modularium drop contract (`SimpleDrop` or `RecipeDrop`). Only you, as the collection owner, or Modularium operators can create drops for your tokens. Revoke the role to stop all minting through that contract.

## Cementing

Cementing makes something permanent. Nobody can undo it, including you and Modularium.

| --- | --- |
| Token metadata | **Cement Metadata** in the token's creator menu. |
| Collection metadata | `cementContractMetadata()` on the contract (not in the UI yet). |
| Royalties | `cementDefaultRoyalty()` / `cementTokenRoyalty(id)` on the contract (not in the UI yet). |
| Contract code | `renounceUpgrades()` on the contract (not in the UI yet). |

## Drops

Your profile's **\[DROPS]** tab lists your open public mints. Click **CANCEL** to end one. See [Ending a mint](/create/selling#ending-a-mint).
