# Sell: listings and public mints

You can start selling a token in the same transaction that creates it. The options depend on the collection type.

## List a 1/1 (ERC-721)

Turn on **List on Marketplace** when you create an ERC-721 token.

| Field | Notes |
| --- | --- |
| List Price | Price in the chain's native currency. Minimum 1 gwei. |
| Listing Start Date | Optional. Without one, the listing is live immediately. |
| Listing Expiration | Optional. Tick **No End Date** to keep the listing up until it sells or you cancel it. |

The app creates the token, approves the Modularium marketplace for the collection (first time only), and places the sell order, all in one transaction.

You can also list any token you own later from its token page, ERC-1155 editions included. Cancel listings from the token page or from the **\[LISTINGS]** tab on your profile.

### Offers

Collectors can make offers on a single token, or a collection offer on any token in a collection. Offers you've received show up on the token page and under **Offers Received** in your profile's **\[OFFERS]** tab, where you can accept them.

### Where the money goes

When a marketplace order fills, the payment is split in this order:

1. The 2.5% platform fee.
2. The token's royalty (ERC-2981), paid to the royalty recipient.
3. The rest goes to the seller.

## Public mint (ERC-1155)

Turn on **Open a Public Mint** when you create an ERC-1155 token. Collectors then mint editions directly from the token page.

| Field | Notes |
| --- | --- |
| Mint Price | Price per edition in the native currency. `0` makes it a free mint. |
| Mint Start / Mint End | Optional. Without a start date the mint opens immediately. Without an end date it stays open. |
| Max Mints | Total editions the public mint can sell. Defaults to the supply that's left after your initial mint, or unlimited for **No Limit** tokens. |
| Max Per Wallet | `0` means no limit. |
| Requirements | Optional. Ask collectors to burn, freeze or hold other tokens to mint. See [Mint requirements](/create/recipes). |

In one transaction, the app:

1. Creates the token.
2. Grants the **Minter** role on your collection to the Modularium drop contract, unless it already has it.
3. Creates the drop.

Without requirements the drop runs on `SimpleDrop`. With requirements it runs on `RecipeDrop`.

Mint proceeds, minus the 2.5% platform fee, go straight to your wallet with each mint. With [requirements](/create/recipes), the fee comes out of the mint price only. Burning, freezing and holding are free.

Public minting isn't offered for ERC-721 collections in the create flow. ERC-721 tokens are 1/1s minted to you, which you then list.

### Ending a mint

Open your profile's **\[DROPS]** tab, which lists your open drops, and click **CANCEL**. Cancelling stops new mints right away; editions already minted aren't affected. To also stop the drop contract from minting on your collection, revoke its Minter role. See [Roles](/create/manage#roles).
